On 6-8 June, 2019 was held the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The event took place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Over the last 21 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.
The organizer of SPIEF is the Roscongress Foundation which is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions, exhibitions, and public events.
The Foundation's events draw more than 80,000 participants each year from 195 countries, with more than 10,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress' various venues. It works in close cooperation with economic partners from 75 countries worldwide.
This year the forum was attended by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.
The president of the Luso-Russian Chamber of Commerce participated in the event and following the results of the forum there was signed an agreement with CEO of Rosscongress, Alexander Stuglev and CCILR.
