The credential letters of new ambassadors from foreign states

On September 20, 2022 Russian President Vladimir Putin received in the Alexandrovsky room of the Grand Palace of the Kremlin the letters of credence of new ambassadors from foreign states, including the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic to the Russian Federation Madalena Fischer.

In his speech during the solemn ceremony the Head of State stressed, in particular, that Russian-Portuguese relations "for many years, even centuries, had a multifaceted and mutually beneficial character." Vladimir Putin also noted that "currently, for known reasons, bilateral political and economic dialogue, cooperation are suspended. We regret this and are sure that ultimately the situation will be resolved."
